The “Hanoi: Five City Gates” cultural tourist train officially began operation on the Hanoi – Tu Son (Bac Ninh) route on September 6, offering passengers a unique cultural experience.

  • The afternoon train departs at 1:30 PM and returns at 5:00 PM.

In Bac Ninh, visitors can explore Do Temple, enjoy traditional Quan ho folk singing, and experience local crafts such as Dong Ho folk painting and making Phu The (husband-and-wife) cakes.

The train draws inspiration from the imagery of ancient Thang Long Citadel, with each carriage named after one of the city’s historical five gates: O Cau Den, O Quan Chuong, O Cau Giay, O Cho Dua, and O Dong Mac — names that evoke the thousand-year cultural heritage of Hanoi and the Red River Delta.

The train features five two-level seating carriages and two dedicated carriages for photo check-ins. Each carriage is individually themed, furnished with luxurious interiors, and offers seating for 40 to 60 passengers.
